time to kick it up a notch

This week I went to the store to buy some much needed pants.  Being very optimistic I decided to grab the 7/8's.  Ya, not the 11/12's but the 7/8's.  I go into the dressing room to try them on, and . . . . . . . . . holy crap . . . . . . . I got my bum inside, not only that but I was able to button them up.  I may have even done a little victory dance in the dressing room checking out my new bum in my new pants, but since Bronson started to look a little worried I had to stop :).  I'll admit they were a little tight, but there was NO WAY I was gonna buy a 9/10.  October has been a bit of a stale mate when it comes to my weight loss, I won't give you the long list of excuses, but I'm ready to move on.  It's time to kick it up a notch.  I've been saying this to myself in my head a hundred times so hopefully sharing my goals with everyone will help.
I want to be in the 130's by Dec. 1
 No more Halloween candy,
or desserts for that matter,
even for Thanksgiving
do it until Dec. 1 and
see what happens.
25 miles a week!
Drink more water.

There I said it.  I'm ready to get to business, I really want to reach my goal and have more victory dances in the dressing room :)

"beybee's hat"

Yesterday afternoon I ran outside to take out the garbage.  I came back in and started putting a new bag in the can, but the lid to garbage can was missing, hmmmmm.  I look over in the living room to see Bronson playing peek-a-boo with Levi.  Yes, the garbage can lid is on Levi's head, and Bronson is opening and shutting the little window.  "Beybee's hat," Bronson proudly states as I head over to rescue poor Levi.  Lucky for Bronson I was laughing too hard to get mad at him.  What am I gonna do with that little Bronster?

"the awesomest one!"
5 sisters, a mom, and a grandma
(and the little extras who make the picture complete)
I bet you'll never guess which one is me.
As you can see not much has changed.
I'm loving Halloween a lot these days so I thought I'd revisit the good ol' days of cubby cheeks, a round tummy and a bag full of candy.  Oh wait . . . . well ya, not much has changed.  I think I was almost 3 in this picture.  Not sure what my costume is, we'll just say I'm little red cheeky hood.
before anyone carves pumpkins this year let me give you a little tip.  don't start carving until you have your pattern traced on the pumpkin (no matter how simple it seems).  Otherwise your glass slipper will turn into a big hole and an hour of your life that you should have been sleeping anyway will be flushed down the toilet.  If anyone is looking for some cute patterns google is very very helpful, and BONUS, it's free!

have you ever?

missed your nap on Saturday then fallen asleep in church on Sunday?
Bronson was so tired during Sacrament meeting, he climbed into Levi's car seat grabbed his blanket and binki (Levi's that is) and after a couple of minutes of me rocking the chair, he was out.  We were gonna take him home to put him to bed but decided to stay.  It's a little embarrassing walking down the hall carrying a car seat with a two year old inside.  During Sunday school Jared had taken Levi out in the hall and one of my friends looked over and saw Bronson's legs hanging out, then said, "Wow your baby is getting so big!"  "Yes he is I said, but that's Bronson."  It was pretty funny.  I hope I'm not breaking rules taking pictures in church, but I had my camera in my diaper bag, and nobody was around soooo I just went for it.
had to turn your monthly trim into a buzz because of a wiggly two year old?  Lucky for Bronson his hair grows fast and he's still cute.

it's no fun being sick

Two days after we found out that one of Jared's co-workers has swine flu Bronson came down with a high fever and vomiting.  Crap!  However, the flu test was negative, so we just have to wait it out.  When we were getting ready to leave for the doctor Bronson was feeling so yucky and was crying when we were getting in the car.  He was crying for his juice, so once we got in I handed him his juice.  He stopped crying to say "choo mama" which is thank you.  It was so funny, and sad, and cute, all at the same time.  He is a little stinker for sure but he is very good about saying thank you.  I've never done so much laundry in two days my whole life.  Poor Bronson was a little furnace and when his fever was the highest he couldn't keep the tylenol down. He got so hot and sweaty but was shivering at the same time, it was awful.  Yesterday he was finally feeling a little better and took a 4.5 hour nap.  Poor little guy, he has a lot of sleep to catch up on.  I just want to say that I'm grateful for good health, and so far Bronson has been the only one to catch this yucky bug.  I'm still keepin' my fingers crossed for Levi.

the birthday boy

Wow, what a difference each year makes.
4 days old
one
two
We celebrated Bronson's second birthday over the weekend.  I'm still pinching myself - I can't believe how fast he is growing.  Bronson is such a blessing to us, he keeps us laughing every day.
We had a triple birthday party with Buckley's for Julie, Arianna, and Bronson.  As usual Bronson was totally spoiled.  He loves his new race track from Grandma and Grandpa.  He could play with cars and tractors and trains all day.
I had a funny video of Bronson blowing out his candles but couldn't get it to download from my camera, I'll just say that over the course of two days, Bronson probably blew out his candles about 20 times.  He is so cute!
then a second party/family home-evening with the Hardy's
"it's Bob!"
"I feel the same way after I eat dinner too."
Brock and Bronson - the handymans
spoiled Bronson

Don't you love the cake?  Another one of my preschool projects. (obviously)
Thanks everyone for making Bronson's birthday so much fun.

One of my favorite things is watching Bronson learn how to talk.  Everyday he is saying new words and phrases.  One of my favorites is "teppers"  everything that comes from the garden is considered a tepper to Bronson.  We went to pick out some pumpkins the other day and of course Bronson kept calling them teppers.  After a few corrections with "no not peppers, pumpkins" he very energetically yelled "punga-teppers."  When Jared comes home from work he is always greeted with "sup dadda?" He has also turned his very happy and excited "ya" to a very calm, cool, and collected "yes." It is the cutest thing I've ever heard.  We love our Bronson.
