little rascals

Levi had his 2 month check up today.  It went as most doctor appointments go, lots of pain and tears, and then there was Levi. Being a baby is so rough.  Bronson came with us and very quickly remembered where we were as soon as we got to our room, he just stood out in the hall crying. So I put Levi down and Bronson had made a break for it.  The nurse was able to cheer him up with a sucker and a Mickey Mouse movie, but when we went down the hall to get weighed and measured it started all over.  He soon realized that he had no reason to cry as it was Levi being tortured not him, so luckily he survived.  Levi wasn't about to let Bronson out do him when it came to the short and stout factor.  He is in the 35% for height, 80% for head, and 80% for weight.  Little Levi, isn't so little anymore, he looked like a tank compared to some tiny newborns we ran into.  Don't worry Levi, if anyone can pull off a big head, no neck, round tummy, and rolly polly legs, it's you. You're the most beautiful 2 month old I know!  (but if you do have complaints, take it up with your dad ;)

Michelle's weather or not . . . . .

some of it's weather, some of it's not.
First up, the stucco mistake - When we originally chose our stucco we were wanting the trim to be a few shades darker than the main color, what we got instead was two clashing colors (oops).  So to take away the bluhness of our exterior we are finally going to paint the trim.  What we can't decide now is if we should have a darker or a lighter trim, any suggestions?
Jared has been working hard in his spare time to complete the basement.  The bathroom is just about ready for paint.  I want to do some colors but can't decide which ones, suggestions?
On Friday we went to Target in hopes for some great pictures of our beautiful babies.  This was the only picture worth keeping.  Turns out Bronson is afraid of doctors and photographers.  Even with Grandma to help he was not about to let go of my neck, and Levi, it was just not his happy time.  So thank you Target for absolutely nothing.  I'm not that upset about not getting any pictures but when you have to revolve your whole day around it and then ended up empty handed, grrrrr.
So we decided to go out to dinner since we were out anyway.  Hmm, won't do that again.  Not wanting to have the evening be a total disaster we stopped at A&W for icecream, Mmmmm.
So here are some pics of Levi at his happy time.

what a cutie!
and then there's Bronson
taking pictures of a one year old is not easy, we'll have to try again for a smile.

This morning I laid Bronson in his crib for a nap, it was a little early but I was getting desperate.  About two minutes later I hear him knocking on his door.  WHAT?  Oh no, you're not supposed to be able to do that yet.  Well I had Levi in the tub so I figured he'd be okay in there till we finished.  Wrong, I open the door to find Bronson holding the glue trap for spiders that was under his dresser, it gets better he was reaching in eating them, Nooooooooo!  "Bronson what are you doing that is soooooo yucky!"  I must of scared him because he started to cry after that, or he just didn't like the taste of glue and very old dead spider parts.  Spiders, dog food, no problem, but dinner forget about it.  Someone please explain.
Today's weather, warm and sunny, thank heaven.

One more thing, last week I went and got a free voice screening at clinic in Salt Lake for National Voice Day.  I saw a story on the news about voice disorders and it caught my attention.  Anyone who has heard me talk over the last 5 months knows why.  When I was pregnant my voice came down with . . . . . .uh . . . . .  teenage boy syndrome.  It is constantly cracking and I'm never sure what sound is going to come out.  People are always asking me if I'm sick or just woke up, and I always have to repeat myself, it has been very annoying and incredibly embarrassing.  Turns out my vocal chords are just fine but for some reason the muscles in my neck are "playing tug of war" says the doc, and they should be totally relaxed while talking.  She recommend voice therapy, like physical therapy except for my voice.  She said I should be good as new after 4 or 5 sessions.  Jared thinks it's all a little fruity and apparently he doesn't mind having a wife that sounds like a frog, but I can't take it any more so we'll see how therapy goes.

Easter Weekend

We had a very fun Easter yesterday, Bronson had fun Easter egg hunting and playing with cousins.  Levi has been battling a very stuffy nose for over a week now, but other than that he had a fun day too.
It seems Levi is already a little jokester as he is always pulling funny faces.
Bronson loved his bee balloon (too bad it's not in the picture)
Jared's mom and dad came over Saturday afternoon to mow our lawn for us.  Bronson had a fun time riding with Grandpa on the lawn mower.  He was pretty mad when they left.  Wow what a beautiful yellow lawn we have.
sleepy Levi

Bronson didn't want to do any more hunting once he figured out there was candy in his egg.
Davis and Bronson
hey Jared, what ya doin' under there?
Bronson had lots of fun chasing Rachel on the bike.
Chad and Kody
Bronson had lots of fun pushing Rachel on the bike too.

Long story (very) short . . .

Their faces say it all!
It's official my baby is a big boy.  Bronson went to nursery for the first time last week and had a great time.  It was so weird to just drop him off, I hate not having him with me, but we did get to enjoy the rest of our meetings in the classroom rather than the hallway which was nice.  We haven't all attended church together in a very long time, so thank you nursery leaders who some how manage to keep very tired and hungry babies happy for 2 hours.  I'm loving this new refrigerator artwork stage, especially when I get to feature such a talented artist.
18 months, wow how it flies.  Bronson went to the doctor yesterday and the entire experience was miserable to say the least.  I'll spare you the pathetic details and just say that I really hope I don't have to take him back before his 2 year check up, hopefully then he'll forget how much he hates it.  He is in the 15% for height, 20% for weight, and 60% for his head, a little Jared for sure.
my boys, Betsy Wetsy, and the new desperately needed lazy-boy :)
don't you hate it when that happens?
Levi is getting so big so fast, he will be six weeks tomorrow, it hardly seems possible.  Balancing two babies is pretty tough but some how we're making it through, one day at a time.
The other morning as Jared was leaving for work he came to kiss me goodbye as he always does, usually I'm barely awake to notice, but when he told me he loved me as he was leaving I had such a feeling of gratitude come over me because I knew he really meant it.  It was the best feeling in the world.  Family life isn't at all what we expected, it's better.
What a handsome little dude.
