a LONG month with a short post

I'll try to keep this short and sweet, I know it's been a while.  This is a picture of East Canyon, because sometimes you just need to go for a drive, a very long drive.
Bronson is an official door opener, counter top climber, dog food dumper, bath tub splasher, playground slider, furniture re-arranger, trampoline bouncer, mop water drinker, bike riding, choo-choo train loving, trouble making, little talking, super cute boy.  Have you ever taken a shower with your one year old fully clothed because you just didn't know what else to do with him and you really really needed to take a shower?  I didn't think so.  The other day Bronson had climbed into Levi's crib while I was changing Levi's diaper.  I said, Bronson get down please.  With little response I started counting, 1-2-3, to which Bronson replies, "tickle, tickle, tickle."  How do you get mad at that?  We love you Bronson.
Levi is a smiling, rolling, giggling, blue eyed teddy bear that will melt your heart faster than you can imagine.  Which only makes his late nights crying, tummy ache misery, 30 min napping, blow-outs up to his neck, and all day holding very very hard.  We have had 4 months of little luck when it comes to an upset tummy, trying foods, cutting back on foods, giving up dairy, with very little improvement.  Yesterday we started soy formula with a prayer that this will help Levi be the happy baby that he is.  I hate to stop nursing him because he is obviously a great nurser, but I've run out of rope to hold on to, so keep your fingers crossed.  Last night I took him to the doc, guess how much he weighs?  17.6, like I said little teddy bear. We love you Levi.

bouNcing, blessing, meMories

This past weekend was Levi's blessing.  I was very excited that he still fit into his blessing outfit that was intended for a month earlier.  We waited for Jared's brother to be in town, but unfortunately Chad and Melissa were out of town, that's life I guess.
Levi was super cute and we had a great day with family.

I'm glad I took pictures before church because I
completely forgot once everyone got to our house.

Levi was very exhausted and had a good nap when we got home.

Memorial Day was also VERY fun.

Levi and Grandpa Hardy
We had him smiling like crazy but I couldn't seem to catch any of them.
Bronson was super tired after playin' with cousins but
I guess not enough to keep napping once we got home.
We've been looking and debating for a while about
what we should get for our backyard,
since Jared was home Monday we finally made a decision.

I think it was a good one.

Cami came over with Melissa's kids for dinner
and family home evening.  Guess what we did for the activity?
Crossing blades with a pirate

With Levi's blessing, Jared has been working very hard on
getting our home top notch.  Here's the new stucco,
new little flower bed
tree and garden
I should have taken a picture of the garage too, it's so clean I'm thinking about moving out there.  I guess that's one good thing about having everyone over to your house, it makes you do things you would never have done otherwise.  Thanks Jared.
Bronson loves anything with a steering wheel, so I figured instead
of buying the whole cake, why not just get the icing.
So come over anytime to climb aboard or take a bounce.
Jared's tip of the day - studs aren't always where they are
supposed to be so if you miss 5 times in a row, it's best to
go where you know there is one for sure.

Okay I'm almost done.  Last Saturday we were on our way to Chad and Melissa's for Kody's first birthday.  When I got in the car I saw that Bronson was sock and shoeless so I turned to Jared and asked,
"Didn't you get Bronson's shoes?"
     "No."
"Well would you go grab his shoes and socks?"
After a minute he comes back out to the car with a box of Kleenex and Bronson's socks.
"What's that?" I ask.
"I thought you said to grab the tissues."
Looks like I shouldn't put off voice therapy any more because people are having a hard time understanding me.  Tissues and socks?  It reminded me of the time Jared went into Target for me to get a curling iron and came out with a blow dryer.  Oh Jared,  I still love ya.

Jared

Last Wednesday was Jared's 29th birthday! On Tuesday we went out to dinner with Buckley's and had a good time. On Wednesday we had a fun little party, just us, complete with presents, cake, ice cream, and Cars. Hopefully he had a good day.

Yesterday we went down to Jared's school in Lehi. It will be finished this week. Bronson had a lot of fun running around the gym and playin' on the kiva (handmade by the one and only Jared) and climbing on the desks. It brought back a lot of memories of elementary days, ahhh good times.   Anyway the school is awesome, very high tech. The "kiva" room has a projection screen with Bose speakers, and every class room has it's own sound system so the teacher can use a microphone, and the desks sure don't look like the desk I had in elementary. I could go on and on, so I'll just say the school is awesome and we had a fun day. Good job Jared!  Now the exciting news is that Jared finally found out that his next job will be in Kaysville building another elementary. Yahooooo!  No more three hours of driving and waking up at 5 am. That my dear friends is a very "tender mercy!"

It dawned on me yesterday that the crappier my day is the
more I tend to eat, and the crappier Levi's day is the more
I tend to feed him, sooooo our situation is a little hopeless.
Swimsuit season, we're not scared, BRING IT ON!
the boy can smile!
What do you get when you take pictures of a one year old one blow up toys?
Fuzzy pictures and a headache.

You are the trip I did not take;
You are the pearls I cannot buy;
You are my blue Italian lake;
You are my piece of foreign sky.

miles of smiles

Bronson and Simba love when we get to go outside to play, obviously.

On Saturday we went to J&J looking for a tree and some flowers.
While we were picking out the tree we wanted we realized
Bronson had taken off.  Guess where we found him?

I'm getting smarter at least, now I take off his clothes to eat,
plus I'm running out of Shout.
Levi is becoming quite a good smiler, what a hunk!

but, this is how he feels about yard work, it's not easy weeding
your flower bed with one hand  in the dirt and the other keeping the stroller rolling.

Funny story ~ On Saturday I went to my mom's while Jared was gone on a Scout camp out.  Bronson has become quite attached to his Grandpas and loves following them everywhere.  As my dad was leaving to go get one of their wheels fixed Bronson started freaking out, not wanting to be left behind.  In typical Bronson fashion he got down on all fours to let out his frustration, he was just about to bang his head on the floor but stopped realizing that he was on the tile, so he crawled over to the carpet then proceeded to bang his head on the floor.  Of course after Grandpa saw how much he wanted to go, Bronson got to go to the tire store.
