Goodbye Simba Girl!

While Jared was gone we found out Blake most likely has asthma.  We had been talking for a while about finding Simba another home since Bronson's allergies have been so horrible.  He is allergic to more than just dogs of course but with his constant stuffy nose it was hard not to keep wondering about Simba.  We feel very luck to have found her a family to love and take care of her.  We love her too but did kind of have to start treating her like an allergen rather than our pet.  Poor girl, life is busy with 3 boys but she was always so patient to be taken care of, as she was last on the list of things to do. :(

Anyway we miss her a lot, life is very different without our home security blanket always there for us.  She has been such a good dog.  I don't miss her hair, or poop, or having her bark at the door, but we do miss her. She was our happy shadow, and really what makes it hard is that she has lived our story with us.  She is in so many pictures, lots of times just in the background but she has always been there and now she isn't so we are sure feeling her void.  I have dozens and dozens of pictures of her.  The good part is that after only a few days, with lots of washing, we could already tell Bronson was doing better, thank heavens!  These pictures were right before we took her to her new family.  Kind of hard to get 3 boys and a dog to pose.  I should have done better before.  Especially with Blake, he was always chasing poor Simba around the house.  He loved her a lot!

Hard to describe loosing your pet on a voluntary basis . . . it isn't easy.  We keep saying we wish we could talk to her and have her talk to us, we miss her, but are glad for
Bronson and most likely Blake as well.
