4th of July

We started out the day at 4 am finding Blake with a fever.  I probably should have kept him home but we decided to go.  We love the 4th of July in W.P. The bummer was that after the parade and baby contest Blake was beyond ready to go home, so Bronson and Levi didn't get to play at the park very long.  It was so stinking hot and muggy, not a good combo for a baby with a fever.  Well the baby contest was totally rigged . . . Blake didn't win a prize.  I did get a smile out of him but for the most part he was pretty zoned out and ready for a nap.  Oh well, I know he was the cutest one there.
Once we got Blake home Jared took the boys to a movie, then a BBQ and fireworks of course.  It seems like the couple of times we have gone are boys have been sound asleep.  We try waking them up when we get there but never have luck so they really aren't too familiar with big fireworks.  Bronson was so squirmy he didn't like it so much.  Levi did okay till they end, at which point they were both curled in a ball on top of me.  Are fireworks really that scary ?????  Levi said on the way home, "Mom those fireworks broke my heart, they were too noisy."  It was a perfect show though, WP does a good job and it's nice to be able to hop in the car and not be stuck in traffic all night.  The bonus was on the way home we saw tons of huge firework across the whole mountain side as we went up Antelope drive.  Why people like to spend money on fireworks is beyond me, but it made a pretty ride home.
Lots of late summer nights turn into grumpy irrational kids.  Last night was great, they both fell asleep before 7, of course the downside was they were both sick.
Maybe Blake has more than just sore teeth.  Being sick is no fun, no matter what the reason.

We haven't been going to Lagoon very often, it's a bit tricky with nap schedules, but on most days the boys are content to play with friends in the neighborhood.  They insisted on having the baby floaties in the baby pool?????  And we finally got Blake's B done for above his bed, pretty cute I think, but the sucker is heavy, Jared made the panel from 2x4's.
