Growing Up

After a fun night to see the new Draper middle school Jared had worked on we stopped in Bountiful for a hawaiian treat.  I think they were a hit.

 a smokey red sky

Bronson and Levi love when Blake comes out to swing, I think he enjoys it too.

It may have taken Bronson to the end of the season, but after a lot of calculated speculation he decided he was ready to try some new rides.  And of course he loved them, "they were awesome!"  I'm proud of him for facing his fear of heights to have some fun.

Levi loves to drive, he could ride in the bumper cars all day.

Bronson's first time on Lady Bug Bop, yes his first time.  He had his eyes very tightly shut the first couple of drops but that seemed to warm him up enough to open them up and start laughing.
Everyone loves to take turns with Blake, and he really liked the helicopters too, thanks Davis he couldn't have done it without ya!
I think Rattle Snake Rapids is Bronson's new favorite ride,
Levi is still happy watch for now, rides that seem to go fast aren't very appealing to him.

Jared was excited to sign the boys up for soccer this year.  It's true I was a little less enthusiastic but after their first week of games I think it will be fun, t-ball was rough, just not enough action to keep little boys interested.  Bronson did great and even scored a goal.  Levi has fun too, his team will do better if they can . . . . uh . . . . well . . . . keep kicking the ball and be more aggressive.  But for a 4 year old he did great too.  They are both #6 and think it's pretty awesome, they feel so cool in their uniforms.

It's impossible for me to look at him without feeling so grateful to be his mom.
We managed to kill our cute little trees.  As the guy at the nursery told us, "too much watering will cause them to give up the ghost."  The prairie fire crabapple didn't have a chance from the over watering of a garden from our up hill neighbor, but the norwegian pine, it was killed completely by us.  It looked so great until about a week ago and now their isn't one single needle left on the poor thing.  Oops, lucky for us tri-city has a much better return policy than J&J.

Last but not least, we have hit a HUGE milestone today.  My baby boy started Kindergarten, GULP.  He is so excited and I'm so excited for him.  I know school will be so great for him.  I love summer but I love school too, so it was a fun day.  His teacher is Mrs. Graham and he has a few friends from our ward in his class which will be fun for him.  Mrs. Graham told the story of the Very Hungary Caterpillar using a cute arm puppet, and told the kids how they were just like the caterpillar.  Starting kindergarten eating bits of knowledge every day until they grow into a big caterpillar then they will be ready to fly off to first grade.  The story was followed by 4 different caterpillar activities.  At one table they played Bingo and used "gummy caterpillars" for their pieces.  I was calling out the numbers to the kids and afterwards Bronson came up to me and said, "Mom you can have one of my caterpillars cause you've been really great today Mom." followed by him patting my back.  "Thanks Bronson."  If I could only be worthy of his caterpillars everyday. . .  We feel very blessed to have such great little boys!

Lagoon

Look who's driving all by himself, and he's a pretty good driver too.
Levi is loving the bumper cars this year
Dragonfly is one of their favorites
We have always loved the little cars, Blake thinks they are pretty fun too.  Bronson and Levi loved going on rides with Blake.  It makes Lagoon pretty easy when your baby rides the same rides as the big kids. . . . they are starting to venture out a little bit but not much.

By the end of the ride Blake was laying on the floor, but he still had fun I think.

Levi went on the ferris wheel with me after I convinced him it wasn't scary.  When he saw that it didn't  go fast he was willing.  It is now his favorite ride.  He like to play i-spy when we are at the top.  But I can't convince Jared and Bronson to try . . .

Bronson rode Rattle Snake Rapids for the first time with Jared, but Levi had to go to the bathroom so we didn't get to see them.  I think it might be Bronson's new favorite ride.  Bronson doesn't like rides that go high, and Levi doesn't like rides that go fast, but we've had a lot of fun at Lagoon this year.

Blake the waver

Blake is really liking big boy food that he has to chew, one of his favorite things is nutri-grain bars but when he feeds himself he gets pretty sticky.

All clean and ready for bed.

One of my favorite things is finding a happy baby after a good nap.  Blake is growing fast, pulling him self up to stand, crawling everywhere, eating dog food . . . I just love him to pieces.

We had a fun time at the Bountiful Parade for the 24.  The weather was good, the parade was good, the kids were happy.  Blake mastered another trick at the parade - waving.  A good place to learn with lots of opportunities to practice.  He is now an expert waver.

Blake and Uncle Geoff.  All my boys love Uncle Geoff!

Bronson and Levi were too busy watching to smile for a picture.  They loved all the free junk that gets passed out to everyone and taking their bag of treasures home - which eventually ended up in my treasure box, the garbage can :).  They were very cute watching the parade the loved every minute of it.  We stuck around for the fireworks after Bronson accused me of breaking his heart.  It was a nice night, being with family, celebrating the pioneers.
