preschool ~ yard ~ t-ball

About a month or so ago we  all went in for eye exams.  Bronson had a little trouble at his 5 year well check so we thought we'd try again.  Turns out his right eye is 20/40, so he is now a super cute owner of specs.  He has done pretty well with them we just need to practice wearing them when he's out playing.  He is so big and can be such a good helper and so sweet.  He is 5 and he is a boy, but still, he's pretty cute I think.

As soon as the snow melted and the dirt had dried out Jared got right to work on the yard.  Day after stinking day, he didn't stop until he got it just right.  Thankfully we survived a few weeks with a busy daddy but we have a very nice yard to show for it.  You wouldn't believe all the hours it takes to make dirt pretty.  On the bright side the boys had some fun memories on some tractors.

This is probably the main reason why we picked the lot we did, we really liked the view we'd have out our back window.  Our backyard neighbor has the best looking yard ever, huge rocks, pretty pines, and super green grass.  I bet he doesn't even fill one bag on his lawn mower each time he mows.  It's nice to  be in a neighborhood where everyone takes care of their yards.  This was on a rainy may day and everything was so pretty and green.
Levi made it through his first year of preschool.  He didn't always want to go but once he was there he loved it.  He learned a ton and was always so excited to show me what he did that day.  It's sure fun to have cousins in your class. Ms. Amber is the best!  This was after their water day.

Bronson has now graduated from preschool - gulp.  He is so big and so smart, and soooo excited for kindergarten.  I'm a little nervous, not for him but for me.  My baby chicks are leaving the coop and it's a little scary to send them to a big school with big kids.  I just want him to stay little and innocent.  Anyway they had a fun graduation with lots of cute songs and parts.  Bronson did great, he loves his teacher. :)
Memorial weekend turned into planting weekend.  Bronson and Levi really love tri-city nursery - they have big wagons.  They each had one with plants on it and Levi's ended up with a heavy pine tree but he still wanted to pull it.  I said, "Good job Levi, you are so strong, where did you get those strong muscles?"  He replied, "From Santa."

Bronson has been playing t-ball this past month with a couple of his best pals.  Diamondbacks #2 is my MVP.  5 year old t-ball isn't the most exciting game but I think they are starting to catch on, sort of.  Bronson does great.  And now that we have a yard we can start playing more at home.  His coach gave him the game ball last time after he threw the ball to left field instead of home . . . . he was pretty stoked showing everyone his game ball.  It might be a keeper for the bookshelf.  I just need to get his autograph on it.

Blake likes to help me cheer most days.  He just went in for his 9 month check up and weighs 20lbs 13 oz. and 27 1/4 inches.  His weight is in the 55%, height 22% and head 95%.  He is about to get some teeth I hope.  His gums have been so swollen and he's been pretty miserable some days.  He has this new trick, actually old trick but now he's big enough that it's hurting him.  He'll be sitting up and throw himself backwards either against me or the floor and of course bonk his head.  Changing his diaper is no easy task either as he is constantly trying to escape.  He is now taking baths without his baby tub which  he loves.  He has lots of fun splashing around and playing with toys.  I haven't tried a bath seat because frankly I think his belly is too big but so far he has done okay without it.  He is the cutest little talker when he gets going.  Mostly he likes to say Dadda when he is happy.  Usually Mamma comes out when he is sad . . . . :(  Anyway hopefully these teeth will come in soon and the temper tantrums will lighten up.  Good thing he's so cute.

 So nice to see green.

I'm kind of a Charlie Brown gardner, I like simple and bright, and lilies, I love lilies.

Spring fun

Yikes it's been a long time.  I'm afraid I have this problem, when I take pictures I take about 10 of the same thing which leaves me with hundreds of pictures, so sorry for the overload, in random order I'm afraid.
There is this fun park in Centerville that the boys love.  The last time we went Bronson had tons of fun riding around the trail that has some pretty good hills.  He LOVES to ride his bike, and he's pretty good too.
 biking cousins

Blake had a fun visit with Grandma, she has just the right toy on her neck.
We sure miss having Grandma close by.
Levi loves putting on big shoes, he's my silly one alright.
Levi had been riding a  little bike with training wheels but wasn't very comfortable on it.  When given a choice he'd prefer to ride his little red trike that he was way to big for.  So we decided to help him a little with a strider bike.  Oh my goodness, he had so much fun riding it.  Once he got the hang of it  he was cruising all over the neighborhood.  We went for a walk and he had to go down every single driveway,  it was so cute.  He was a balancing genius after about 3 days.  After a week we got him a new little bike and he took off.  No running along side him or pushing him to start, he was a little rider.  Luckily we still have Blake who can get some use out of this bike that lasted a week.  It was expensive but very worth it.  Levi is having a great spring riding his bike every single day.
 ta-duh

Blake loves apples, watermelon and frozen bananas in his mesh feeder.
We will probably be seeing some new teeth in a day or two.

Bronson the dare devil (just don't ask him to ride puff at Lagoon)
going on the ramp the on the first day with his new bike
 playing on the floor
Blake is rolling everywhere, he wants to crawl but isn't quite there yet.  I'm in no hurry, this is the best stage ever, tons of fun but not trouble makers yet.  He is pretty much the ray of sunshine in our house.  We love him to pieces.  He has such sweet giggles and yelling chatter.  He's also just discovered his tongue and doing all kinds of funny tricks.  His hair is getting so long.  I pretty much just let it do it's own thing, I don't want to cut it but I've never had a baby with so much hair so I'm not quite sure what to do with it except let it be crazy.

Nothing better than a sleeping baby, and a happy one when he wakes up.
He is a little tornado.  We had to add the bumper pad after a few nights of head banging and legs getting stuck.  But he sleeps like an angel now, all through the night.

Blakes curls after a bath.  Wet hair rubbed with a towel is all it takes.

If he's not riding his bike . . . and daddy is home
he liked his fresh green beans
every MWF we've been heading to the park with Steph and Brock for some walking,
playing and bike riding.  Blake is a great walking buddy

Bronson started t-ball.  He loves to hit the ball but doesn't like being out in the field to catch the ball, he says.  Hopefully it will be worth the agony.  Not many 5 year olds have the attention for t-ball.  It is fun for him though, he loves putting on his uniform and wearing his snake hat.  They are the Diamondbacks.

Getting so big so fast.  My kids are very emotional.
Laughter and tears are very close to the surface.
I don't know where they get that from.

It seems like it's going to be a bit harder to make it to Lagoon as often this year with 3 kids and a lot to do around the house and yard.  Hopefully they will find a little courage this year to try some new rides.   We'd love to go to Disneyland but honestly I'm not sure they'd go in all the rides.
So we might have to wait a bit.

 Jared 33 - Blake 8 months

Bronson and Levi were so excited for daddy's birthday.
Bronson even wanted to skip his t-ball game for the party.
At the park where we walk there are some tennis courts.  Bronson thought we should get daddy some tennis rackets for his birthday.  It sounded fun to me so I agreed.  When we went to buy them two wasn't enough, he needed one for he and Levi as well so Jared got 4 tennis rackets and some tennis balls from the boys and new some new cologne from me.  Hopefully we can have some fun family time playing together.
